Celtic Reiki
Celtic Reiki was created by Martyn Pentecost and employs symbols derived from the Celtic ogham (the ancient alphabet used by the Druids).
The Reiki energy mimics the frequency of various trees and plants so as to work in accordance with channeled and Celtic wisdom. It combines the healing energy of Reiki with the ancient wisdom of the Celts and can be used for both healing purposes and goal manifestation.
Celtic Reiki works on the body’s natural ability to heal itself, finding it’s way to where it is needed. Working on a holistic and spiritual level it releases blocked energies, encourages toxins to be discarded from the body and creating a state of balance.
Celtic Reiki is a very therapeutic treatment to receive – clients often fall asleep during the treatment and feel energized afterwards. It can be used to help with a number of illnesses – depression, anxiety, mood swings, insomnia, aches and pains and lack of energy.
Celtic Reiki is performed fully clothed – if you ever get asked by a Practitioner to remove anything apart from your shoes, leave as soon as you can !!!
A deep level of relaxation is usually reached during a Celtic Reiki treatment. Often clients will feel heat or cold from the practitioners hands, tingling in arms and legs or sometimes nothing at all.
With its diverse range of treatment methods, Celtic Reiki can not only be used to treat health issues, but can also assist your clients in manifesting their own goals. ~ By Pamela Jordan
Aromatherapy
Aromatic oils have been used for inhalation and application since the times of ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece.
Aromatherapists believe that aromatherapy assists healing through olfactory pathways, as well as through external and internal applications.
Today, the meaning of aromatherapy extends to the holistic practice of using a plant’s volatile essential oils to treat body, mind and spirit. It is the therapeutic use of plant-derived, aromatic essential oils to promote physical and psychological well-being. It is sometimes used in combination with massage and other therapeutic techniques as part of a holistic treatment approach.
Aromatherapy offers diverse physical and psychological benefits, depending on the essential oil or oil combination and method of application used.
Some common medicinal properties of essential oils used in aromatherapy include:
- analgesic
- antimicrobial
- astringent
- sedative
- antispasmodic
- expectorant
- diuretic
Essential oils are used to treat a wide range of symptoms and conditions, including, but not limited to:
- gastrointestinal discomfort
- skin conditions
- stress-related conditions
- mood disorders
- circulatory problems
- respiratory infections
- wounds
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a style of massage therapy in which water-treated stones are placed at specific sites on the client’s body to promote relaxation and to help open up the meridians (energy pathways).
Many people find the warmth of the hot stones to be comforting and get it for relaxation. The heat relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist to work the muscles without using deep pressure. Muscles are pretreated with the heated stones to allow the therapist to more easily perform deep tissue manipulations.
Cool stones are sometimes used alternately with hot stones. Massage oils are usually incorporated into the massage treatment.
People also get hot stone massage for a variety of health conditions:
- back pain and aches
- poor circulation
- osteoarthritis and arthritis pain
- stress, anxiety and tension
- insomnia
- depression
“How to Meditate” Program
Meditation is not a technique but a way of life. Meditation means ‘a cessation of the thought process’. It describes a state of consciousness, when the mind is free of scattered thoughts and various patterns. The observer (one who is doing meditation) realizes that all the activity of the mind is reduced to one.
The word meditation, is derived from two Latin words:
- meditari(to think, to dwell upon, to exercise the mind) and,
- mederi (to heal). Its Sanskrit derivation ‘medha’ means wisdom.
With regular practice of a balanced series of techniques, the energy of the body and mind can be liberated and the quality of consciousness can be expanded.
This is not a subjective claim but is now being investigated by the scientists and being shown by an empirical fact.
